thanks to our sponsor Lightforce!
Lightforce is an Australian made, owned and operated business that manufactures high quality off-road and utility lighting at their factory in Hindmarsh. With their emphasis on technological innovation and precision engineering, they see the importance of an organisation like Techspace Learning, who provide opportunities in making STEM activities fun and engaging.
Lightforce have generously provided funding to allow us to offer courses to all who wish to participate during the early months of 2025 at a reduced rate, making STEM affordable for everyone. This opportunity is such a great way to get started and join in the fun!
Introductory Workshops 2025
Introduction to Block Coding & Arduino
Build your first robotics project in just one hour!
This introductory session is the perfect way to dive into robotics using the Arduino micro-processor and easy-to-learn block coding. Whether you’re a total beginner or just curious about coding, this hands-on experience will have you exploring the exciting world of robotics in no time.
No prior experience needed.
For participants under 12, an adult must accompany them. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children, at no extra cost.
Introduction to C++ Coding & Arduino
This one hour session provides an opportunity to experience the fun you can have with robotics using the Arduino micro-processor and C++ style of coding. This session is best suited to those who want to learn robotics and can already type. Similar to coding with Python, this session gives an opportunity to try something different and experience the satisfaction of building and coding your first robotics project.
Absolutely no previous experience required.
Robotics Workshops Term 1 - 2025
Our engaging robotics courses are hands-on activity based learning, giving participants the skills and practice they need to be able to engineer and code their own robotic projects.
There are no age limits, but ask that those under the age of 12 are accompanied by an adult at no extra charge. Anyone with basic keyboard and mouse skills will be able to follow along with our courses. We find the average and earliest age is around 8-9 years for the best learning experience.
We have courses to suit all ages and abilities and look forward to sharing the enjoyment that robotics can bring.
Robotics Arduino Fundamentals Block Coding (7wks) (1101)
This foundational Course is aimed at participants who may have little to no experience in microprocessor programming. The aim of this seven-week course is to empower participants with enough knowledge to make their own robotics projects using block-coding and the Arduino microprocessor.
Each week we walk you through building and coding a new project, building the fundamental knowledge a little more each week. Participants have so much fun with these projects, they rarely realise they are learning.
Robotics Arduino Intermediate Block Coding (8wks) (1102)
This course continues on from the Fundamentals course and adds more complex devices and methods to achieve more with the Arduino microprocessor. This eight-week course continues to use block-coding and was created to satisfy the hunger to learn more and do more, of the participants from the Fundamentals course.
Weekly sessions at 6:00pm – 7:30pm from Wednesday 12th February 2025
Only $320 (was $440) thanks to our sponsor Lightforce

Robotics Arduino Fundamentals C++ (7wks) (1201)
This course shows participants how to program the Arduino using the native C-based language of the Arduino IDE. Fundamental digital theory is included in the course. This is a good starting point for those who have an interest in robotics and who have basic typing skills. This course tends to attract individuals aged 13 years and above.
Weekly sessions at 11.30am – 1.00pm from Saturday 22nd February 2025

Robotics Arduino Intermediate C++ (8wks) (1202)
This course continues on from the Fundamentals course and adds more complex devices and methods to achieve more with the Arduino microprocessor. This eight-week course continues to use C++ style coding and was created to continue the fun and extend the capabilities and possibilities of developing with robotics.

Robotics Arduino Advanced C++ (8wks) (1203)
This advanced course delves into sophisticated techniques, modules, and devices available for the Arduino platform. Participants will deepen their expertise and gain the confidence to design and build almost any robotics project they can imagine. A solid understanding of Arduino programming is required, making this course ideal for those who have completed our intermediate courses or are active members of the Adelaide City Robotics Club.
Weekly sessions at 6:00pm – 7:30pm from Friday 14th February 2025
