About Us

Our Mission

At Techspace Learning, we believe children and adults learn best in an inclusive and collaborative environment, and that innovative, sustainable technology can lead the way to a better future. We are committed to developing mentored programs, hands-on workshops and a community where self-confidence and understanding of electronics, coding and engineering can weave together into inspirational projects. Showcasing our projects at events such as Science Alive, Brixpo and the Royal Adelaide Show makes STEM accessible and engaging to wide segments of the public.

Our Vision

We aim to cultivate the engineers and programmers of the future, unlocking potential into something tangible. We do this by creating an environment for those who might otherwise struggle to find a suitable club or group that would stimulate their interests. Working together on group projects facilitates learning, teamwork, friendships and self-confidence.

Our Equipment

The Arduino is an open-source microprocessor platform that is affordable, flexible, easy to use, well supported and expandable. It allows the user to control LED’s, servos, motors, LCD screens and more using buttons, potentiometers, keypads, sensors and just about anything you can think of. Techspace Learning has developed their own version of an Arduino, which is more compact, fits nicely with Lego bricks and has all the features you want and none that you don’t want. They are featured in our customised kits, that allow you to start building and coding faster, as all the soldering and gluing has been done for you.

Our History

In 2013 a small group of people from the Hallett Cove community got together to form a club that provided young people an opportunity to play with microprocessors. This resulted in the Hallett Cove Robotics Club. Techspace Learning Inc. was formed to deliver quality robotics workshops to share knowledge and potentially spark an interest in robotics and electronics in young minds.
Since 2016 we have delivered robotics workshops and provided assistance to organisations across the Adelaide region, helping expand to the opportunities for people of all ages to engage in STEM related activities.
In 2019 we moved in with Aztronics in the Adelaide CBD and established a central base to run our club and our workshops.
Our move to the the basement of the WEA Adult Learning Building in 2023 allowed us to build a custom space exactly for our needs, to allow the continuation of quality course delivery and expand our club activities.

Our Location

We are centrally located in the quiet east end street of Angas Street in the city. We have a purpose built room downstairs in the basement of the WEA Adult Learning Centre, adjacent Maker Space.
There is generally ample street parking available or there is a carpark out the back of the centre with a flat fee of $5.
The address is 223 Angas Street, Adelaide, SA 5000
